We read through and highlighted pages 83-86. We also viewed a short rap about the Magna Carta.

Students used the chrome books to view a segment on Feudalism and the  Dooms Day survey, which can be accessed through Clever.

We recreated a European Manor!!!  Students drew their "occupation" from a basket and then spent the period building/developing a product that would meet the vassal/noble's approval and then the king's.
Tomorrow, students will view a segment on Feudalism and respond to questions instead of a Weekly Quiz since we had 4-H this week.

Students worked in table groups on a study guide using the green book, pages 244 to 259, and Gallopade book, page 79. Student were reminded for the third time about missing assignments

Students were able to choose the project of the day. 
They could either finish Friday's Chapter 14 Sheet, the manor project, or preview pp. 244-251 in the green textbook.
4-H is tomorrow.

Students were given a brief assignment-two short paragraphs to read and then four short items to answer about Monarchs and Peasants and Vatican City.
Characters were given to each student to add dimension to yesterday's Manor project.

After another quick review, students viewed a Discovery Education segment on The Rise of Feudalism and they took five notes.
The Manor Project was introduced and time was allotted for students to work.
There will not be a Weekly Quiz tomorrow.

After ANOTHER review of Medieval Life, we continued discussion of Charlemagne and the impact he had on Western Civilization in Europe (pp. 78-9).  We also discussed Feudalism and Manorialism (pp.80-81).
I am entertaining having an in-class project  assessment instead of a quiz this week.
Study over notes for background understanding regardless.

We all enjoyed a WONDERFUL presentation from Stacey Melton, a Safety, Health, and Environmental Specialist with the Denso Corporation. She provided a wealth of knowledge concerning Japanese Culture and its impact on life in Tennessee. She also discussed the impact Denso is having on our area, especially in regard to the new Eco Park they have created in partnership with the city of Athens.

After another quick review, students were asked to complete a ten question quiz and then log onto Clever to read a passage about Martin Luther King, Jr.
A listening guide was completed as they viewed the presentation.

After more review of the items that will be covered on the quiz tomorrow, students finished the Chapter 14 Crossword and Comprehension Guide in small groups.  Be sure to study tonight for the Weekly Quiz tomorrow and bring earbuds for class tomorrow.

After another review of pp.73-77, we discussed the four questions on p.78 (Assess Your Understanding), read about Charlemagne from the bottom of p.78, and completed a Listening Comprehension Guide over a podcast about the History of Charlemagne.
