Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) – Ocoee Middle School

Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is a student-led organization that encourages athletes and non-athletes alike to grow in their faith, leadership, and character. FCA’s mission is “to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.” Through discussions and community-building activities, students are challenged to live with integrity, serve others, and make a positive impact in their school and community.

At Ocoee Middle School, FCA meets every week at 7:40 AM in the upper gym. Everyone is invited—you don’t have to be an athlete to join in! FCA partners with local churches to bring in guest pastors, and occasionally, students and teachers share messages. It’s a great place to connect with friends, hear encouraging words, and start your morning with a positive and welcoming community.

• Description: Ocoee Middle School SGA is a group of student leaders that strive to serve their school & community with respect and compassion towards others.
  • What we do:
    • We strive to make OMS a better place by providing positive encouragement to our students & staff, taking care of our school’s cosmetic needs, and providing fun activities for all throughout the school year.
    • We serve in a number of different events throughout the year such as a canned food drive, empty stocking fund, BGCOR Christmas party and more!
    • In order to fund the work we do for our school & community, we have various fundraisers that allow us to help others.
    • We are all about team bonding! We enjoy playing games during our meetings and going on field trips to work on our leadership skills.

WEB (Where Everybody Belongs) is a middle school transition and mentoring program designed to help incoming 6th graders feel welcome and supported. The program trains 8th-grade student leaders to serve as mentors, role models, and guides for new students. Through orientation activities, follow-up events, and ongoing connections, WEB helps build a positive school culture where all students feel included, valued, and confident as they start middle school.

WEB empowers students to support one another and creates a school environment where everyone truly belongs.

Our OMS 8th grade trip to Washington, D.C. takes students on an exciting journey through our nation’s history. We visit famous landmarks like the U.S. Capitol, Mt Vernon, Monticello, Ford’s Theater, Lincoln Memorial, and Smithsonian Museums, walk through Arlington National Cemetery, and explore monuments that honor America’s heroes.

This trip of a lifetime is a chance for our students at OMS to see history come alive, make lasting memories with friends, and celebrate their time at Ocoee Middle School while in our nation’s capital!
