Ocoee Middle School has a rich history of serving students in Bradley County. Originally established as Bradley Elementary in 1972, the school served seventh and eighth graders. In 1979, it was renamed Bradley Junior High School with the addition of ninth grade. As part of the Bradley County Board of Education's master plan to implement the middle school model, the school underwent another transformation in 2001—adopting the name Ocoee Middle School and welcoming sixth graders while phasing out the ninth grade. Ocoee Middle School earned its initial accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools in 1996 and continues to uphold high standards in academic excellence and student development.
